G.SKILL HK 4GB (2 x 2GB) DDR2 800 (PC2 6400) Dual Channel Kit Desktop Memory Model F2-6400CL4D-4GBHK

Pros: Works 100% in my ASUS M4A79 Deluxe/AMD Phenom x4 9850 BE at advertised settings and speeds. Heatspreaders are slightly warm to the touch under load so I know they're doing their job. The HS don't have the chrome clips on the tops but instead have the GSkill chrome logo on the left and the Chrome wave swirl on the front. (see other models to find what I'm talking about) Also came with their trademark graphical sticker to paste on your chassis. Gotta love it ;)

Cons: Stock settings had these at 667 and 4-4-4-12 and Manually adjusted to 800 with no change to timings. No Issues!

Overall Review: Haven't OCed them and probably never will. Now take a moment to compare with me here: C4 @ 800 vs C5 @1066 which is better? Well, do the math and you get about the same number of effective clock cycles 4/800=200 and 5/1066=211. So you get 11 more mem clocks per second with both at least doing 200/sec which is a 5.5% speed increase. Then factor in the "only on one DIMM per channel rule for AMD CPUs" and you're stuck with a mere 2.25% speed gain. Nah, I'll just get the 800 and not deal with the headache ;)

As for Intel configurations odds are you're looking at DDR3 so probably not even reading this... :P

Pros: they can deliver what you need to put out. i play alot of games. mainly wow and rts. these always kept me going very fast.

Cons: mine jusr recently broke down on me and died, i ran a system check on them and founf over 100 errors on the sticks so they were beyond repair so i had to drop another 70 to get new ones.

Overall Review: i guess almost 3 years is a good run time for 70 no other real problems and great performance
