G.SKILL 4GB (2 x 2GB) DDR3 1600 (PC3 12800) Dual Channel Kit Desktop Memory Model F3-12800CL9D-4GBNQ

Pros: I ordered these sticks because they were specifically on the QVL for my motherboard despite knowing that it wouldn't run at the stock speed due to the processor. In fact, almost no processors in existence today can run memory at 1600Mhz. I put an Athlon II x2 regor 255 3.1 GHz dual core processor in which only supports a memory speed of 1066 with the onboard memory controller. These sticks correctly turned down to that speed automatically and lowered the timings so they were technically still operating at close to the same effetive speed, making it ultra low timing 1066 but for a lot less money than specifically buying high performance 1066 ram.

Cons: none!

Overall Review: They're soooo shiny too

Pros: Well presumably if they worked, they would work fine.

Cons: First time I've gotten DOA RAM. It sucks building a new system and then having it BSOD all over the place, and then running a memtest and realizing a stick of RAM is dead, delaying the build for a while.

Overall Review: Newegg made an RMA super easy, though I'm reluctant to get GSkill again. I'm writing this review to help give buyers an idea of the failure rates of these things. I understand that other users have gotten it and had it work perfectly. If I ever use GSkill again and it works, I will leave a positive review.
