The cooling on this card might be the quietest thing in my HTPC case. I can't even hear it with my ear next to it but it's definitely working pumping warm air out the back of the case. The desktop looks much sharper than the HD3200 IGP it replaced and it supports many more resolutions, including the 768p native resolution of my plasma (1366x768). Overall the system seems much faster. WEI went from 3.5 to 6.1 for graphics and brought the overall system from 3.5 to 5.5. Of course, 1080p HD video plays just fine. I haven't tried 7.1 bitstreaming yet but that will hopefully be a pro in the near future since this card is being used in my HTPC setup.
This card is not supported by the latest ATI CCC 10.1 drivers. Attempting to install these drivers appears to install but instead fails silently. Attempting to install the correct drivers on top of what got half installed leads to all kinds of strange problems like "Video Error" in W7MC which is not helpful at all. Do not install the latest drivers from the ATI website. Install the latest Redwood drivers only. Hopefully 10.2 will support the 5670. For now the 8.69 RC3 drivers are working fine.
People who don't own the card should stop writing reviews for it. This IS NOT a discussion forum. Your ratings skew the real experience people who actually own the card are providing. Stop quoting reviews from other websites as your own. If you don't own it don't review it.

Amazing framerates for under $100.
Low power requirements.
No PCIE power adapter needed despite what it says on box!
Quiet.
Small size.
Cooling fan doesn't do its job very well. The unit tends to run pretty hot, intermittent "freezes" when gaming even with side cover off case and fan blowing air directly on it. Seems to get better after temps stabilize.
This is the second one I've tried, had to RMA the first one due to memory glitches. Newegg provided fast and friendly service.
I got this for an HTPC/Gamer and my only complaint is about the intermittent freezing of the display while under heavy load. Because this seems to go away after a few minutes, I'm assuming there's some kind of stability issue with rapid temp changes. Newest drivers don't make a bit of difference here. Always been an ATI fan, but I have to admit that the last 2 different model nVidia cards I've tried have worked flawlessly while 2 of the 3 most recent ATI based cards had plenty of issues! I'll bet the AMD/ATI partnership has a lot to do with this.
