fast, runs cool, low voltage requirement, fast, 6 meg L2 cache, overclocks like nothing i've ever seen.
some will say price, but i'm really happy with the price/performance ratio on this thing. much faster than my old E6320 and only a few bucks more. maybe i could have gotten it a little cheaper elsewhere, but Newegg got it to my house next day with free shipping. no complaints here.
most people will probably have to update their BIOS to run this, but that's not a big deal. these processors appear to consistently and reliably overclock to 4 GHz and beyond if you're so inclined. my oldish motherboard is limited to 425 FSB so i can't clock mine over 3.825 GHz, but that's okay. i can run 3.825 at a miserly 1.225 Vcore. i'm impressed.
3DMark06 score of 17,606 with this and my dual Radeon HD3870's. my computer levitates about two inches above my desk now. i think it's self-aware.
1) Easy to OC
2) Great value
3) Can run most games on high
This should be a 5 star review, but I had to RMA 3 of these. 1 was just DOA, and 2 were for broken temperature censors. I began to think it was my mobo, but i tried it in 3 other computers and all say it is 98 C on boot up (lol, 205 F on boot, what a joke). After the 3rd DOA i just settled with the broken censor and disabled auto-shutdown on overheat in boot.
Without the broken censors, without a doubt a 5 star review. Andkeep in mind, im probably a VERY rare case, as you can see from the other reviews, of which most are positive.
