This processor offered the right price / performance ration at the time of my purchase. The VM support and quad core help virtualbox and vmware run great. Processor runs at 37C with a nothing-fancy cooler master heatsink/fan.

I installed this processor on a Supermicro board with 4 GB Corsair 1333 DDR3 memory and a 3ware card running RAID5. My Gentoo install rocks and virtual machine support is awesome as well. I tend to do a lot of testing and working in VMs and this is way faster than my previous Dual Core rig.
This really does an amazing job on the power and load my computer can take.
Unfortunately, upgrading from the E6400 Core 2 Duo processor, I do not see a benefit great enough matching to what I payed for.
Although I do not see that great a difference, This processor definitely helps future proof my machine so when they do unleash full multi core games/programs that I will completely see the power of this thing.
