- 4 threads
- good performance
- only 2 physical cores (see other)
OK. So I know that everyone says "you need at least 4 cores for gaming" or "some games don't support hyperthreading or "two cores is for poor people." STOP THIS NONSENSE. For the average gamer, who just wants to play at 1080p with some HIGH-ER settings, on some PRETTY DEMANDING games (ME), this DUAL CORE cpu is PERFECTLY SUFFICIENT. For someone who is on a budget, like myself (around 700 dollars including windows), you will be much better off getting this CPU instead of an i5 and putting the money you saved towards a better GPU. At the end of the day, the GPU does more pixel-pushing than the CPU anyway. *drops mic*
I guess a pro would be that NewEgg is currently reviewing my lost item claim and will hopefully send me a replacement since Canada Post either lost my CPU or delivered it to the wrong person..lol
A con could be that I ordered a complete build from NewEgg so now I have built PC without a CPU sitting around. Lol.
I don't blame NewEgg for any wrong doing.
