This CPU should be my last in this lifetime [I am 80 and expect this will be more than sufficient to get me into my 90's!] The amazing factor to me [apart from the speed] is how cool it runs on the stock Intel heatsink and fan; I have the fan set on low!
There are none.
I make it a point never to list cost as a "con." If I cannot afford the product I buy something that I can afford. It is that simple. If you can afford this by all means treat yourself well!
This processor features Intel-VT technology which is currently required for Cheat Engine's DBVM feature.
The stock fan is pathetic and can be very loud at times, so ditch it and get yourself a nice H70.
You may experience system hangs when the CPU is at or near 100% utilitization if hyper-threading is enabled in the BIOS. Test for stability using Intel XTU's memory and CPU stress tests.
