Overall Review: I received a bad proc and spent numerous hours trying to troubleshoot the issue. I finally figured out why motherboard wasn't posting (and note I had to go out and buy a new motherboard to troubleshoot and rule out the motherboard). It was due to a bad memory lane in the processor when handling dual channel. It would fail under dual channel memory configuration (Please note I have over 20 years computer building experience and i'm an Lead IT Systems Engineer for my career). I even used other memory and still had the issue. I kept all the settings on auto. Made sure i was using the proper configurations, and channels for the duel channel of the two dimm's, I even used different configurations, it would fail to boot every time with the two motherboards and limited stuff connected to it. I could successfully get the system to boot with just one DIMM, but with two DIMM's and dual channel, it wouldnt post. Then after I went back to one memory DIMM, it would corrupt the OS installation and make unusable from the dual channel setup and i would have to reinstall the OS. I would guess that Intel only test the chips for single memory config and not in dual channel, I rand the Intel Diagnostic CPU tool and it would pass with a single DIMM in it. And yes, the CPU was properly seated, I did a reseat numerous times on each motherboard. To add to my frustrations and many waisted hours on this, Newegg at first would only offer a replacement and not refund. I had to talk with them to make a exception and argue how I can't afford to wait another week to send it back and 2-3 days to process then mail me a replacement. I will take my business elsewhere, what a big inconvenience and be warned about having issues and delays with newegg. I recommend you try to find a local store that sells it with other hardware to make you life simpler if you have issues.
