Still Working Great

Works, very nicely with SSD. Cheaper than dealing with USB 3.0 for now. So I don't have a 16GB USB 3.0 slow flash drive. Instead I got a 64GB eSATA super fast iPod sized drive. I much rather have the storage space and speed vs tiny size.

Must research drive speeds! To many folks out there are looking at "Oh, sata 2 is 300MBps or 3Gbps" Refreshing the little b is bit and large B is byte. 8bit = 1 byte.
That doesn't mean that is how fast your drive is. That is just how fast the bus is.

A SSD reading at 285 and writing at 275 will blow away any USB 3.0 flash drive reading at 85 and writing at 25

Without doing your research, you could buy a drive expecting great speeds and NOT get them! Then you are quick to pass your judgement saying USB 3.0 bites when in fact it does not.

None on the product itself. Power over eSATA does NOT draw enough power to work for power hungry hard drives. I did my research in advance and bought me a Kingston SSD and it works flawless.

Did not work for me

Great idea, light weight method for attaching 2.5 or 3.5 sata drive on ExpressCard with a laptop.

The cable did not work for me. I got their eSATA express card to go with the cable. I tested the express card with another eSATA cable and device and the eSATA express card works. With this cable I also get power to the drive, because I can feel the drive spin. But, there is no signal path because the drive is not recognized. I'm running W7x64 and the drivers loaded automatically.

The cable is pretty long, which is a disadvantage for me because I'm portable. I like the idea, but it did not work for me. Other reviewers say it works, so maybe I will test the cable on another system. Good luck.
