Finaly a sucsessor to XP

DO NOT BUY PROFESSIONAL! If you think you need the XP mode you don't, it's meant for "productivity" software AKA accounting / custom programs meant to run on XP. If you think you need it for any Windows software, or any game you currently play you don't. this version comes with a "Windows Program Compatibility Troubleshooter" that can run any .exe app in any past Windows version.

More of why you don't need Professional in my other thoughts section.

Other than that I can say this version of Windows is as rock solid out of the box of any past version, on my hand build 3 year old PC that has been upgraded and whatnot, w/o an internet connection win 7 was installed and fully functional with the XP/ install drivers that where already installed. No hangups, no blue screens, not even a second guess from the comp.

Oh and they Included a 32 bit and 64 bit in one package!

Even with only 3 (main stream) Versions of Windows 7 (for all of the people that would like to call me out their are 6 versions of Win 7 but only 3 are for main stream distributing) I still say that's One to many. Their needs to be only 2! A Home and a Business Version.

But no complaints other than that, as a hard core XP user, I'm actually glad i skipped Vista all together. It's like everyone that skipped over "ME" completely lol

Their is a full-system backup option in this home version, It's will let you back up to a NAS or external, not sure why they make a bigger deal with the one in Professional it's not even an upgrade, they just make the button easier to find... Oh and "Domain Join" don't make me laugh your IT pros from your office can supply you with it or what ever software you will need to access your work network from home if you need it.
