Motorola F3 Unlocked GSM Bar Phone with Speaker Phone - OEM

Pros: This is a simple phone, and it's good at what it does. You can call and text people. It has an alarm, and a phone book. It has a call history, a phone book, 7 ring tones. That's essentially the phone in its entirety, and for me, that's a plus. It doesn't have any of the other features that you never use, just the basics.

The battery life is awesome. 2 weeks at idle, and 8 hours talking constantly. I haven't charged the battery since the first day I had the phone, and it's still displaying 5 bars (full) after 4 days.

The screen is really readable. It's an e-paper-type display, so you can see it in the sun. It has a backlight to read in the dark as well.

The other great thing about this phone is the reception. This phone gets much better reception than the phone it replaced (which cost $130).

It's also pretty thing. It's awesome. The thing slips right into my pocket, and doesn't annoy me with an annoying bulge in my pocket.

Cons: The display could definitely be better. It has one lines of text, so to read text messages, you have to scroll right, since it can only display 6 characters. This also means that you can't tell if letters are capitalized or not, and that some characters need to display in an unconventional way. Periods are dashes, for example.

The microphone is not too great, but it's acceptable.

Overall Review: This is a great phone. It's not what I was expecting, but it has a very nice simplistic style to it. It's definitely worth the $30.

Pros: Compact, light, simple.
If calling people and answering calls is all you want, then it is the phone for you.

Cons: The phone display is very limited, allows only uppercase characters.
The ringer volume cannot be adjusted to constant value, it always starts from low to high. When it rings on max volume and you hear it from another room it is too late already.
The specified 300 hour standby time is overrated - after 3-4 days the battery shows 2/5 charge already.
At random times the phone screen lights up and my provider name shows on the screen briefly. Most likely it switches to another cell tower and that could be the cause of such terrible battery drain.
