I am running a single N460GTX on my i5 2500k gamer build. Its mildly overclocked above factory settings but not overvolted. I recently installed CoD MW3 and it runs a smooth 60-80FPS @ 1920x1080 on maximum settings. I also just installed Skyrim and it runs average 45FPS, also same res and maximum settings. During intensive scenes it may drop as low as 30FPS. I find it completely acceptable for my needs! There is still room for improvement with some further OCing as the loaded temps are well below 55c.
Prices have gone up. Paid $100 for mine after $30 MIR.
When prices come back down I will throw in a 2nd card for SLi gaming and check back in to my review...
I had a professional level quadro 5000 before this but got rid of it.. As far as my needs go this is just as good. I no longer do big encoding jobs or rendering on this build. I get well over 30 FPS on the games I play. I mainly use this card for folding at home. It is not bad 1100-1300 PPD after overclocking to MHz. I cant get it up much higher then that
This is the second MSI product that has been horrible with the rebate system. I submitted the rebate form but unless i pay 10% it takes 3 months to get the rebate (I did it on the most recent one but have been waiting 4 months on the first purchase). I have emailed the contracted rebate department but they are evidently to busy to respond to emails.
Not a bad card all things considered. The stock overclock is fairly high and i managed to push it a little farther. Not to the extent that they advertise with a MHz overclock. The rebate was a major reason I bought both my recent MSI products. However with 60 dollars in rebates I have yet to receive I wish I had gone elsewhere
