First let me re-rate to 3.5 eggs. Dual CPU, Good chipset.Excellent platform for a average to high end workstation.SLI, 6 mem slots, free heatsinks and fans.Raid support(which I don't use currently)Tweakable BIOS.
Bad Layout, forces cables to be disruptive to cooling air flow.
Cheap chipset fan, memory cooling fan almost useless. Audio in-operative out of the box. 4x PCI almost useless. Almost no tech support on website.
Would like to see better testing at the factory. MSI could have had a winner if a little more thought went into this board. Should have went Tyan.
Looks really cool
Anything can go wrong. I have 3 of these and there is something wrong with each of them. I have had to re flash the CMOS due to the infallable "CMOS Checksum error" to which MSI has not yet responded to my trouble ticket. I have one that does not recognize any keyboard/mouse no matter where I connect them. The onboard RAID/SATA controllers are absolutely horrible and cause Windows to lock up adn crash.
MSI has tried to go too far to fast and has completely failed. I await another of these and hope it works.
