Device has been reliable and works as advertised.

Using the Netgear utility is the easiest way to set this print server up via Windows. Once the print server is setup, configuring each computer is a 2-3 minute process if you already have the printer drivers. Linux was relatively easy as well once I did a google search. Vista was a little quirky, but that was more to do with Vista than the Print server.

I didn't want to spend this much on a print server, but this one had the best features/functionality for the price... so it's not really a con.

I have a Canon i850 and HP D1300 series printer. These printers work just as well as if they were directly attached to my computer. It works as advertised.

TOP CRITICAL REVIEW
Pretty, but ultimately useless

4 ports for ethernet, 2 ports for USB Printer connections. Very pretty looking.

VERY limited printer support. Documentation was scanty at best. Netgear phone support was extremely lacking.

I purchased these for use with one of 4 different printers - 2 HP Color LaserJets, a Lexmark and a Brother printer, and all 4 were "not tested" and ultimately did not work. Netgear's technical support was laughable. Before buying this product - check the supported printers list at Netgear's website!
