The tempered glass makes this case look state of the art. Surprisingly spacious with good cable management. Love the locations for the 2.5 drive mounts. Nice to see the USB 3.1 which plugs into the 20pin USB on your motherboard. Small enough case to put on your desktop but large enough to fit an ATX board. Fits my Gigabyte GTX 970 (12" card) no problem. Plenty of fan options, even for a 3 fan radiator. Aluminum / glass case helps keep components cooler than plastic or steel IMO.
My biggest problem is the humming noise on the aluminum top caused by fan vibration (solved by putting a 16oz bottle water on top). No fan mounting option at the top of case. Would have expected thumb screws for back expansion slots. Although beautiful, the glass needs top be handled with extreme care (tempered doesn't mean it wont break). The back exhaust fan provided with the case is average and loader than I would like. The 2.5 drive mounts behind the MB requires flat SATA power cables otherwise you run the risk of damaging the SSD connector ('T' connections fit too tight between the SSD and MB plate). Not really a con but a preference; the INWIN logo on the side only comes in red or white...
I have no regrets on this purchase even at a somewhat steep price of $200. I think with some tweaks hear and there, this may be my last case for a while.
This case would have gotten a better review if the company selling it cared a little more about customer service. Nice job! 2 stars off for bad service
- One of the best looking cases I've ever seen
-surprisingly good airflow considering that it lacks holes in the top and front.
-construction is not cheap in any way. every piece is sturdy and good looking
-no drive bays
-very few options for storage larger than SSD. A mid-tower with only two full size HDD bays? Really?
-Installing SSDs on the back side of the motherboard tray can get tricky if you have a short 12v supply line on your psu
-glass panels are very thin tempered glass. you could easily break them if mishandled.
newegg put this case on sale 2 days after i purchased mine. the price went down $20 before I even got it in the mail...which was also a day late, as usual because Fedex is terrible.
Contacted customer service and never got a response. Buy it somewhere else. Just about every one of Newegg's major competitors will do a proper price adjustment for you if an item goes on sale within 30 days, but Newegg is just too good to care.
