If you have bought a Lian Li case recently, this will sound very familar to you. This case is very high quality for the price as is always with Lian Li.
- Room for up to about 10.5 inch cards. You can remove hdd cages to get in anything bigger.
- Very few sharp edges, so you wont cut yourself on anything
- Cooling!!! I took a gamble When I bought this case and I thought the side panel looked like it could take a few fans(Even though it wasnt listed when I bought it) You CAN put 2 120mm or 140mm fans on the side panel. The case also comes with 2 140s in the front and 1 120mm in the back. And they are all quiet.
- USB 3.0 on the top(Header connection)
- Cable Management bar running along the back. VERY handy and well done. There is plenty of room on the backside of the mobo to put wires.
Motherboard tray can not be removed if I gotta be picky about the cons. No room to 3 way or 4 way SLI/XFIRE
However I do have 2 cards and they fit just perfect.
- some of the smaller screws can strip easily if you are not careful with your screwdriver.
If you are reading this, you have found the perfect case mid size quality case. This is Lian Li quality at an affordable price.
I have bought a lot of cases in the past for friends builds, Corsair, Cooler Master, Rosewill. But for myself, I will only buy Lian Li and this case is why. I had an A71F two years ago and this is pretty much its little brother but with a side panel for fans to cool GPUs
Sturdy construction, good price, good looks and nice wire management
USB 3.0 front port is crippled INTENTIONALLY to USB 2!! Front bezel connectors are molded into on piece on top and bottom, instead of being individual such as on other Lian Li cases. You'll appreciate how awful this design is when you break one.
The front USB ports on this case both go to a single USB 3.0 connector, but only one USB port operates at USB 3.0, the other at USB 2.0, despite being plugged into a USB 3.0 header on the motherboard. They include a USB 3 to USB 2 adapter so that both USB ports can cannot to the more common USB 2 header, but that makes both USB ports 2.0. Most modern motherboards only have ONE USB 3.0 front port header (I've never seen a motherboard with more than one). On the other hand, you often get two, three or even four USB 2.0 headers, making the USB 3.0 front header quite precious. To have both front USB ports share the same cable going to the USB 3.0 header, and then to cripple one of the ports to prevent it from running at USB 3.0 speeds is insane, confusing and unnecessary. USB 3.0 is fully backward compatible with USB 2.0, 1.1 and 1.0, so this makes no sense and disables a rare and valuable feature of any modern motherboard. .I am a big fan of Lian Li, but this is shockingly disappointing. I expect better from Lian Li and I regret purchasing this case. Buyer beware!
