This Mainboard is simply amazing! But it's second to the Newegg/FedEx combo. :P lol. Newegg+FedEx make an excellent team! Delivered this bad girl to my door a day early. Built a custom PC with it. It runs like a charm. Awe-inspiring extra features. Built-in processor is GREAT for over-clocking!
It has all the features a general purpose computer needs including lots of USB, firewire, and room for memory. It's nicely set up and installation is not a problem. I never needed to overclock it, but it underclocked just fine when I was trying to limit the heat it was producing.
Heat. Heat. Heat. Reliability.
Two months after I installed the board I started having severe heat issues. I looked around the internet on forums, and I'm not alone in the problem. My PWM (power watt management) constantly woud jump to over 80c and I had to put a case fan pointed just at it to keep it down. It heated up all around the PWM which lead to my processor heating up, too. I got a good heat sink put in, and it worked fairly well, until the obnoxious little fan over the onboard processor (useless, by the way) went out and it started beeping constantly. There are no replacement fans and no way to deactivate the warning sensor, so I put another case fan in it's place and put it on over the little onboard processor's heat sink. Things went all right for a while, and then the onboard USB went out, and just a few days later, the whole thing died and won't power on for more than ten seconds unless I reset the CMOS and then it will stay on for 15. It lasted for about 15 months
Other people seem to have had no problems with theirs, so maybe I just 'lucked out' and got a lousy setup. I wouldn't want to risk it, so I'll be replacing it with a different brand.
