Nice MB mounted into my 3 year old chasis. The documentation was extensive and easy to understand, I had quit building PC's years ago however this was a snap once again due to the documentation. It took me 15 minutes to load win 7 and 5 to upgrade. The network worked very well and the video was beautiful and responsive I watched 2 shows on the Internet it was flawless.
The instructions were spread across several manuals, they were effective though.
I would do it again in a minute the complete upgrade; Mbd, processor (i5), power supply And ripsaw ddr3 RAM was over the top.
Decent Features for a basically budget board. 4 DIMM slots, OK audio, IDE for old drives, etc.
Price should be lower now. 1156 socket is second tier intel, and this board's quality is iffy at best. I RMA'd the first one. It died after a few days. The replacement is working nicely after 3 months, but I am expecting it to fail at some point due to the issues that I and others have had.
Some advice to novice builders:
1. Don't cheap out on your Power Supply. You will regret it. Balance your PS decision on proven reliabilty vs cost, and get the best bang for your buck.
2. If you are planning to install Windows 7 on more than one machine (ie: laptop & Desktop), or have friends/family who want Win 7 too, consider getting the 3 user upgrade version. It comes with both 32 & 64 bit discs so you can have 32 bit on an older machine, and 64 bit on your new build or 64 on both, etc. It's not upgrade only. You can choose do a clean install on any drive that has any old windows installed. Whip out that old XP disc, install it on your new drive first, then clean install win 7. It's a retail version, and costs less than the single retail Win 7 disc! The price is only marginally more expensive than a single OEM Win 7, but if you install it on multiple machines, it works out to be 45 bucks each on three, and 70 bucks each on two. I split mine with friends, and it worked out great
