Comes with an updated BIOS and I overclocked my 2500k to 4.1ghz without messing with any voltages other than setting my ram timings. Also runs nicely with the CM 212+, temps are currently 28C.
I have four USB connectors on my front panel, I was only able to connect two of them into the mobo, but it's fine, there's plenty of room on the back.
2x2g g.skill ripjaw series (9-9-9-24 1600mhz)
i5 2500k @ 4.1ghz
evga GTX 560 Ti
1tb hdd 6.0gb/s
750tx corsair
It's a motherboard.
* Really badly wants it's default settings. Push the reset button? Default settings. Add/remove memory? Default settings. Update the BIOS? Default settings. Look at the motherboard cockeyed from across the room? Default settings.
* Marvell SATA controller causes high DPC/interrupt rate in Windows 7 after resume from sleep. My solution: disable the stupid thing. This may not work for you if you want 6 Gb/s SATA. There are not newer drivers available at present. Took a while to get to the bottom of this issue.
* First DIMM slot was flaky on initial build. The only indication of trouble was the system constantly rebooted itself. I had to rip the system apart to find the issue. How about some beep codes?
* No automatic fan speed control for case fans, only manual PWM at 50% or 75% for FAN1 and FAN2 (no PWM for FAN3 or FAN4)
* Only one internal USB connector
* If you load Windows with RAID or AHCI and the BIOS goes back to default Windows won't boot because the controller is set to IDE. DO NOT run the Windows startup repair assistant (the machine will never boot again). Just put the BIOS back to AHCI or RAID and make sure "hot plug" is enabled on all the channels
* I see no way to save the BIOS settings
* Bottom line: you should buy something, frankly anything, else
