ASUS P8Z68-V LE LGA 1155 Intel Z68 HDMI USB 3.0 ATX Intel Motherboard with UEFI BIOS

Pros: Just what you need and nothing you don't.
Easily over-clocked a i7 2600K to 4.5GHz with a cooler master 212+.
Intel quick sync is very fast and saved me having to buy a new video card - just using an older NVidia 260GTX. Encoded a full length movie (4GB) to ipad2 format in 8.5 minutes with minimal CPU usage.

Cons: None so far.

Overall Review: This is a basic board which works as advertised for a basic build. I had been buying ASUS pro version, but just ended up leaving the extra sata ports free. If you are building a machine with a couple of hard-drives, a burner and a basic discrete video card, this is a good choice. ASUS quality with non of the frills that most people probably never use.

Pros: Worked great for a month then ethernet port died.

Cons: Network port died within a month of use.

Contacted support with the issue, did all of the troubleshooting requested including reformatting and putting a fresh install of my OS on the drive. Nothing successful so I'm told to RMA. Put in my RMA request on the 13th and 10 days later still no reply. According to the website anything past 48 hours is moved to important and will be answered first but still nothing.

Decided after the full week to just order a new NIC off of newegg which was shipped and worked great and saved me the cost of my time. Very disappointed with Asus's support on this. Used them for my last two mobos and never had an issue like this.

Overall Review: Really brings my view of the company down after having no problems in the past and now seemingly when I need them they do not reply.
