Unbelievable speed and smoothness. The EFI BIOS is a joy to use. Came with BIOS 4001 and I plugged in USB thumb drive with ver 4004. The update utility easily saw the drive and could browse to firmware version for update. Automated one click overclocking took my i5-3570K to 4.22GHz and still rock solid. Has EPS and TPU switches and LEDs for auto overclock and auto energy savings. All rocksolid even when running IntelBurn and stock heat sink (103C! ordered 212 heat sink/fan). Everything worked the first time with no problems. The AI Suite II utility software works nicely too for seeing CPU speed, temperature and voltages.
Win7 x64. Three unknown devices after installing the drivers at ASUS site and Windows Update. It took a huge amout of work to get these resolved. The missing Intel SMBus (SMB) and Intel Management Engine drivers were very new on the Intel download site so ASUS still does no have available. See below how to fix.
Three drivers missing from ASUS download site:
1. USB Controller VEN_1B21 DEV_1042. The Windows Action Center gave me link to ASUS for ASMedia USB 3.0 Host Controller.
2. SM Bus Controller VEV_8086 DEV 1E22. You need the chipset drivers. They forgot to list on P8Z77-V LE PLUS downloads site. Just go to another P8Z77 model and "CHIPSET" will be there. Silly oversite.
3. PCI Simple Communications Controller VEN_8086 DEV_1E3A. Go to Intel Download Center and get Intel ME 8: Management Engine Driver for 6 & 7 Serries Chipset Based Boards. V 8.0.13.1502 was only a week old so ASUS does not have.

MUST go to their website for memory compatibility,
Motherboard sensors failed within 6 months.
The specs said DDR3 1600 was acceptable for the motherbaord. And it is. As long as you don't try to put in more than 8 GB. Above that, and you get crashes.
Had this 6 months, don't overclock. My thermal sensor for the board is registering -76.0 F. Still waiting on the RMA from ASUS.
Their tech support went something along these lines:
Me: Sensor reading -76.0
ASUS: Sounds like the sensor is bad.
Me: And?
ASUS: The sensor is bad.
