ECS BLACK SERIES P45T-A LGA 775 Intel P45 ATX Intel Motherboard

Pros: This board is solid and comes at a great price of just under 100 bucks. It is stable and fast and i had no problems with it so far. Not a single crash, no slow downs at all.

Cons: If you plan on overclocking DO NOT get this board! This board has next to none OC capabilities. Only get this board if you do not care about overclocking and just want a good value solid board. Side note that the FDD connector is all the way on the bottom of the board, so you will need an extra long Floppy cable if you plan to install one.

Overall Review: I got this baby hooked up to a Q6600 with 4 gigs RAM, Radeon 4870, and 2 250gb seagates on RAID 0. Scored 5.9 on Vista rating.

Pros: Well packaged with several SATA cables. As others have mentioned, it's clear that English is not the first language of the group who wrote the manual. Fast FSB and plenty of SATA (6) ports. Onboard HD audio and built-in GigaLAN interface. Has three onboard USB headers, plus the six out the back. One of these headers supports my two front USB ports.

Cons: The install disk will not run with Vista64, you have to manually load drivers, if you can find them. My LAN connection was not funcitoning until I located the Ath..L1 driver. No firewire support on board, no speaker on board. The PS2 port for my mouse seems to have stopped functioning on day 2 and one of the USB ports in back does not function. Audio ports in back detect a connection, but no sound, may be a configuration issue, but documentation is lousy. The audio to the front ports work fine though. Today's video cards are long and my ATI 4870 blocks the first two SATA ports, rendering them useless. Moving the card to the other PCI-e16 slot blocks a couple of other SATA ports AND one of the two PCI slots, so moving it is not an option. Good thing I'm not trying to run two video cards with Crossfire.

Overall Review: Did not see any updated Vista64 support on the ECS site.
