Price, features. Nice UEFI BIOS
Side entry SATA connectors (all but 2), I hate these, once a board is installed in all but a huge case,side entry ports are a pain.
If you have a 6Gb/s RAID array for storage and a 6Gb/s SSD for OS & apps, you have a tough choice to make:
There are 4 6Gb/s SATA ports, 2 intel on the H77 chipset, 2 ASRock on a separate controller. Only the intel ports support RAID, but if you put your RAID array on the intel 6Gb/s ports, you will need to put your 6Gb/s SSD on one of ASRock ports, which adds an extra minute to the boot time. (gets to "Starting Windows" then takes about a minute before the glowing blobs appear).
I wanted fast boots, so I connected my 6Gb/s RAID drives to the 3Gb/s intel ports, so that I could connect my 240GB SSD to an intel 6Gb/s port, bummer.
With the configuration above, I get 25 second boot to desktop, from power button push, and I haven't really noticed too much difference in the RAID (1:mirrored) performance.
The UEFI BIOS is the best implementation I've seen so far. I like the Fan control adjust-ability.
I put a core i7-3770S (media PC), 16GB corsair vengeance RAM, Corsair Force Series GS 240GB SATAIII SSD, using the onboard HD graphics-4000 which (if it matters to you) rates a 6.5 on WEI.
Installation went very well and had zero issues.

Does not shut down.
When i try to shut down, or now, put my pc into sleep. fans just keep spinning. they spin for house nonstop. I dont have their Humidifier option on, i Personally think thats dumb. i had the board for about 2 months now and after week 2 i had to shut down the pc and then turn my fully off by hitting the PSU switch. something with the motherboard is sending a signal to my PSU to just stay running. and get very annoying when im in a rush or now i need to chut my pc off all the time bc it wont sleep. the same thing happens in sleep mode.
