Truly plug and play. I wasted money on two cheaper units - one did not work at all and the other working intermittently. Should have purchased a Tripp-Lite unit first off.

My use is on a 1080p system. The Tripp-Lite Customer Service folks were very patient and informative when I called to asked questions about this unit prior to purchasing.
Good video and sound
Interference from this device prevents Dishnetwork RF remotes from working, Tripplite tech suggested wrapping splitter with aluminum foil... this improved but did not solve the problem. IMO, a poorly designed product.
