My favorite feature is that when you use two different zones you can feed them with two different inputs at the same time. Typically I’ll be listening to the TV in the living room and Bluetooth via my outdoor speakers. Furthermore each zone has independent volume control. Not to mention it has an easy app to stream music with as well. None of these are things I had on my Onkyo that it replaced.
Wished the on screen volume looked a little more updated. I had a hard time figuring out how to pair a new Bluetooth device through the system menu until I realized you had to press the button on the remote. I think the system menu could be a bit more organized. The sub menus don’t always fit what you are looking for.
This is a really solid mid range receiver. For what you get the price is right.
Worked as advertised for 6 months!
I purchased this system back on March 2020, it worked just fine for 6 months. Then my TV stopped getting video from the receiver. I tried switching cables, reset and anything else that would make sense but no luck. I took it to an authorised Pioneer repair center and after two weeks I was told Pioneer was sold to Onkyo and then sold again.
Also the network capability stopped working as well, so I was not able to use the Pioneer app on my phone to control it. I drove over 1 hour just to take this system for repair and most likely I'll have to drive back to get it, un-repaired!
There currently is no way to get parts for this 6 month old system. The online phone numbers for Pioneer service are all Out of Service!
The repair shop has left it up to me to find parts! This has been the worst experience ever for a system that is in warranty but no one can seem to fix it or take responsibility.!
I am beyond disappointed with this process and no I do not recommend any Pioneer AV receiver.
