Pros: Fast tray load/unload time
Fast dvd-r/cd-r burn
Not too loud

Cons: Louder then what is advertised but not major. Low noise for price.

Great burner

Pros: It works..... uhmmm... if you call it that. Nero Light something comes with it.

Cons: The drive is annoying. Crysis DVD makes it choke. It'll like do this spin/stop thing for 15 seconds and then read the disc just fine. The drive is ULTRA slow in "slilent mode" and if you want to place it in "Speed Mode," you'll need CD Magic from Samsungs web site. GL finding it. And then there is the other piece of software that updates the firmware... which there isnt anything new at this time. Other than that the drive does work if you baby it.

Overall Review: Go with Pioneer!!! Oh that good ol' Pioneer will do you some good. Last Samsung Drive for me.
