Fast Card, Plays any game now maxed out no problems and play the little DX11 games out now really well.
Price, paid MSRP not what they are charging now.
This Card will fold you just need to use the command
-forcegpu ati_r700
and for all the people that says this card sucks don't be mad because Nvidia is a day late and a dollar short.
Fast.
I purchased a Sapphire ATI 5970 card to power two Dell 3007WFP monitors. I often use one for gaming (at 2560x1600) and the other for movies (720p or 1080p).
My problem came when running anything on both monitors. One monitor would produce a "flicker" or "jitter" that made it unwatchable. To be specific, the "jitter" is a roughly 1/2" horizontal band across just one of the monitors that persists when doing anything that more or less changes the screen.
FWIW, I've tried;
1) Swapping DVI-D cables (I used 2 new ones on each monitor)
2) Swapping which DVI-D cables when to which ports on the back of the card
3) Using a DVI-D and a DisplayPort cable
4) Windows 7 and Windows
Based on this, I don't think it's a bad port on the card. I've also disconnected the second monitor and the first monitor that was previously showing the "jitter" stopped. So, it's definitely something caused when two monitors are active.
Googling this problem comes up with a few reports of people pointing to ATI Overdrive and turning it off to solve the problem. That leaves fan/cooling issues that don't seem good. I'd prefer not go this route and find a approved solution. Finally, I noticed the horizontal band that one of the monitors shows in the dual monitor setup is consistant. That is, it is always at the same height and just flickers like a band of static. It seemed to change it's position (vertically) depending on what inputs I used (dual DVI-D's vs. DVI-D + DisplayPort).
This seems an edge case for ATI/AMD (one hopefully fixed by drivers!), and something I'd be interested to hear if others have experiernced.
