Pros: This drive is quiet, burns fast, and burns any media I have thrown at it.......doing all of this with a quality burn. I even had some cheap Ritek DVD+R DL that failed in my other burner all the time not only finish the burn, but play perfectly in my older DVD player. For the price you pay for this burner, you just cannot go wrong. Great to install on older systems too, since it is IDE

Cons: Not much negative to say.........It doesn't have lightscribe, but for under $30 who cares?

Overall Review: IF you are looking for an entry level DVD burner for your PC, get this one! You get WAY more than what you pay with this burner, as well as Newegg.

Pros: Very good DVD results at 4X, 6X, 8X (8X is actually 6X-8X Z-CLV). Best results using 8X DVD-R discs written at 8X, 6X, and 4X. Acceptable CD-R results at 16X and 8X.

Cons: Not as good as the AD-7200S. 12X or 16X selected write speeds often drop to 4X with 10-15 minute recording times being longer than if 8X was selected. Unacceptable CD-R results above 16X.

Overall Review: Two drives evaluated using high grade discs and professional test equipment. FW 1.08, made May 2008 in China. Must use DMA 4 controller.
