Combines a great fighting system with puzzle solving mechanics. The dungeons in this game will remind you a bit of Legacy of Kain Soul Reaver mixed with The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time. The combat is a bit of a mix of Legacy of Kain Soul Reaver plus GOW, but with more gadgets like Legend of Zelda games. The boss fights are very well implemented with trying to figure out there weaknesses. The pacing of this games probably the best I've ever seen. As soon as your sick of fighting guys they'll give you a panzer dragoon fighting sequence on a flying bird, a huge puzzle, a temporary huge gun and battle to see who gets the most kills, and so on. It has plenty of secrets spread throughout the game and isn't to bad on back tracking. Overall it's just fun, and a true gamers game.
The storyline leaves something to be desired, but personally I thought the same thing about The Legend of Zelda games. It's not all that original, but I personally like all the little nods of the head with refferences to other games and movies. This is not a very cinamatic game, so if you are into that look else where because this game does not try to be a movie.
The game is between 15-20 hours long. This is the second game I've ever preordered, and I am fully content with my choice.

This game quickly took a turn for the worst. It started as a fast paced action packed hack/slash then slowed to a crawl with Puzzles. I dont mind a few clever puzzles here and there but these are mind numbing and pointless.
Great game only held back by out of place puzzles.
