Lightscribe... hmmm..

Well, the discs work fine. Burns the image to the disc.

It's a little slow (around 20 minutes) for a nice picture. The discs are 3x as expensive as normal DVD+/-R.

Be sure to adjust the contrast and brightness of the picture (of the DVD label) you are going to burn, to enhance the crispness. It looks much sharper after modifying.

TOP CRITICAL REVIEW
Lightscribe is Nice

I've been using these in the office for a couple years now and just recently setup a client with a Lightscribe burner. They're really great for keeping organized, and you avoid the whole unbalancing of the optical disc that you get when using those sticker-type labels.

Lightscribe still isn't 100% reliable unfortunately. I've used a multitude of burners, have always had updated firmware, drivers, and labeling software, and still, you get the occasional disc that just looks like it's smeared all over the place.

My recommendation when using Lightscribe is to ALWAYS burn the label first, and then burn the data. The chances of failure on the label are much higher than the chances of failure on the data. I've burned over 500 discs at work and that is my experience.
