ViewSonic VA2719-2K-SMHD 27 Inch IPS 2K QHD 1440p Frameless LED Monitor with HDMI and DisplayPort Inputs for Home and Office

Pros: Looking for a larger single wide screen monitor to replace two obsolete smaller displays. I don't use it for gaming - I sometimes remote into work from home and want generous screen real estate for that. 2K resolution is better than I use at the office. Pricing is very reasonable. The sale process was smooth and delivery better than expected.

Cons: Probably not a con for most buyers... this monitor does not have a DVI input. It has Display port and HDMI. HDMI is pretty much the same as DVI, so not a huge deal. I use a souped up old PC and it has a modest video card in it. That card doesn't have a display port output. I needed to upgrade my video card from minimal to modest at the price of about $50 to get the most out of this display. Most buyers will already have better graphics than I started with so, again, probably not a big deal.

Overall Review: I'm not the kind of buyer who evaluates monitors for dead pixels or anything that arcane. To my eye, it looks fabulous. I did search for an IPS display after doing some reading on he various types. I thought that was the est choice for me and he way I use the display. Other buyers will benefit from reading up on the various display types before making a purchase.

Pros: Decent for watching videos

Cons: Lines aren't crisp, everything always had a slight blur, pixels died and eventually after 2 years of owning it the panel burnt out. Highly recommend to put your money elsewhere for something a little more worth while.

Overall Review: Overall I've had a pretty poor experience with this monitor from the moment I got it, It arrived with a dead pixel and just had been downhill since.
