Pros: - couldn't have been any easier to install on my Linux Mint laptop - just plug it in
- inexpensive solution to the broken sound on the laptop, when combined with a BT speaker

Cons: - after speaker shuts off, it can take 5 or 10 seconds to re-connect. This is a minor annoyance and may not have anything to do with the product

I have a slightly old laptop that serves my purposes just fine, apart from it had no way to hear sound when playing a video clip. This is a hardware problem, and I was not keen on trying to get the laptop repaired. The laptop runs Linux, and I was pretty sure the BT adapter would work OK.

I got this BT adapter and an inexpensive BT speaker. All I had to do was plug in the adapter and pair the speaker. Super simple. And very nice sound quality for playing vids.

Overall Review: The device's packaging says that it is only compatible with "Windows98, 98se, Me, 2000, XP, Vista, Windows 7/8" despite the product information page on Newegg claiming compatibility with Windows 10.
