I use this in my recording studio with a Mac Mini and pro tools software. I record straight to it with no problem. Will soon buy another for backup purposes. Best value for your money.
Offers flexibility with so many connections on the rear; that part is awesome.
The eSATA connection doesn't work with my desktops, yes plural. I thought it might have been a Vista problem, but it turns out that it doesnt work at all when connected via eSATA. I see a lof of forums mention AHCI and have tried them, but still no luck.
1) Don't expect to use this thing right out of the box with eSATA.
2) The power button is very flimsy
3) Comes with backup management software which I formatted and deleted.
4) I hate wall-wart power supplys.
