XFX GeForce 6800XT 256MB GDDR3 AGP 4X/8X Graphics Card PVT42KUDE3

Pros: This card has brought new life to an older machine. Moved from a GForce 4 420. I've been playing Dawn of War, BF Vietnam, Guild Wars, & Doom 3. All perform great.

My PS is only 300watts and I've had no power problems.

It looks cool and fit in the system perfectly.

Cons: Not much to the manual. Basiclly, open your system, install the card, and load the drivers.

Overall Review: I ordered it with the basic 3 day shipping at 1:30pm on a Monday and UPS had it at my door by 1pm on Tuesday. Can't beat that at all. It made the trip from Tenn. to Louisiana in 24hrs. I've purchased from Newegg before and will do so again because of service like this.

I would definantly recommend Newegg and this card to any one.

Pros: None

Cons: This card would not perform on the latest nvidia drivers (9-14-2006) nor the drivers that came with the disk. Everytime I tried to play 3D games or watch videos the CPU utilization would spike at 100% and stay there until the application was ended. After talking to XFX for weeks they gave me older drivers (march 2006) that worked for videos and some games. However the card still lags, pixels are messed up, and the card crashes after 10 minutes so my computer restarts itself. I dont know if its XFX or the 6800 but its a problematic card for sure.

Overall Review: Also the reccomended power supply is in question: newegg.com says 300 W, xfxforce.com says 350 W, and the product box says 500 W. I'm running a thermaltake 480 W 12v/18amp, the XFX help desk says that power supply will work but I dont have much trust in them after all of this.
