Pros: This card o/c's like a beast. got 10,227 in 3dmark06. Great score for a budget price.

Cons: the stock fan was a bit high pitched, nothing overall distracting. I replaced the cooling anyway.

Overall Review: running in setup: e2180@3ghz, 2gb mushkin ram, asus p5k, 850watt psu.

Pros: Very fast, stable, excellent MPEG2 video quality. Games look and run great.

Cons: Very loud fan and nothing seems to work to make lower the speed of the fan. Rivatunner, Atitools and nTune can't control the fan speed as of today with the 169.32 forceware drivers under Windows XP. Now, there is a SMALL glimmer of hope as the card does give out temperature readings. A future driver upgrade might (big maybe) be what we need to fix this but to release a high end video card that has advance video features without fan speed control that runs at 100% speed all the time is inexcusable. The fan literally competes with my computer speakers, we are talking very loud.

Overall Review: I hear the eVGA 8800 GS has a very silent fan. I so wish I would have gotten the eVGA model. This will be my LAST XFX video card ever. The card is not a total lost but this problem will force me to get a new VGS cooler eventually. I give it 3 eggs because the card itself is good, it is the cooling fan that kills it.
