Was befuddled

Aesthetically pleasing
Fast RPM
Keeps cool

Using Zalman's instructions were near impossible. It took me a while to find out what really needed to be done to secure the bracket. Instead of a back bracket on the MB, you use the washers and nuts to secure it in. Little bit of a timewaster coming to installation. Funny that this was the hardest part of building my computer.

Overall, nice. Directions: Bad.

TOP CRITICAL REVIEW
2018 Clip design out of the socket 7 era, and among the worst clip designs ever.

It cools better then the stock intel cooler once\if you get it installed, but it doesn't cool anything amazing for a supposed 6-pipe cooler, but noway am I taking this thing off after what I went through to get it installed.
See below.

Worst clip design ever, requires a stupid amount of pressure because they made the screws\bolts the clip needs to screw down with about 25% to short when installing the clip as the clip is a seasaw like a socket7\370\A clip. They pop out due to not being able to get enuff thread, you don't have 3 hands to push the clip down while screwing in so this constantly repeats all while your getting cut by the INSANELY sharp fins, that should of been rounded... I think I cut myself 6 times on this thing.
Finally I got it installed but it REQUIRED me getting a 2nd person to HOLD the clip down with as much force as possible, and it still was barely possible, but we finally got the screw past the first thread to hold.
Hopefully I never have to take this thing off ever again.

OH did I mention the fin edges are SUPERSHARP and not rounded, keep cables far away from this thing, but good luck keeping your hands away from them while installing the clip, that is gonna rebound and cause you to get cut.

Can only give this 1 star due to HOW terrible the clip is. Reviews you find online of this sink are of its original 775 version, which seemed to have a more forgiving bendable clip and longer bolts, they weren't trying to save less then a penny on, unlike this more modern version.

Don't buy this even on sale.... I totally regret buying this just cause it was on sale, I should of got one of the hyper 212's with the great designed spread clip that wouldn't of resulted in my hand having a bunch cuts, and that is really the main reason it gets 1 eggstar.

It's 2018 I shouldn't be getting cutup by a heatsink, there is no good excuse for not rounding the edges of the fins and DEF no excuse for the SHORT screws that would of prevented this negative review as that clip and the short screws were the direct cause of me getting cutup by those sharp edged fins.
