ZALMAN CNPS10X Extreme 120mm CPU Cooler with Worlds first PWM Fan Speed Controller

Pros: Excellent performance, runs super cool.

Cons: Soooooo huge, could've been made to where it didn't stick out so far to the sides toward the dimm slots and extended upwards instead. Gigabyte 790x and this will barely work because of the ram slots. Don't get ram with huge heatsinks.

Cons: I got the REV 1 cooler and the only attachment for my AMD 1100T was the weak spring clip. My computer would blue screen every time something bumped the case, which told me that the cooler was too heavy for the clip. As the clip weakened over time, the slightest touch would blue screen the machine. When I went to replace it with the stock cooler, it's size made it so difficult to remove that it twisted in such a way as to bend hundreds of pins and destroy my 1100T. So not only was this a waste of money, but I lost my 1100T and the only chip I could find locally was the 1055T, a severe downgrade. Thanks a lot Zalman and Newegg. Note: I got mine on sale, which meant that the REV 3 was already out and it has the screw on pressure plate to hold the cooler securely. Neither Zalman nor Newegg warned me that I was getting a cooler that was known not to work with the AM3 socket. Shame on both of them. It also interferes with tall memory like the vengeance.

Overall Review: It you get the REV 3, then this is an excellent cooler, assuming it actually fits your case. Watch out for tall memory ... if the slots are close to the CPU you will have problems with this cooler. REV 1 should be avoided by AMD users.
