Works perfectly, brand new, fast shipping.

It is quiet it is fast. I use it to makeup a clone of my laptop hard drive.

As I said in a prior review for a WD I would recommend this drive over a comparable WD. However in some case(s) I would recommend the WD over a Seagate. It really depends on the trade off(s) and so on. The Seagate ran just a tad hotter than I would like. About 12 degree(s) over. At about 111 degree Fahrenheit. That may not seem hot but over the long term will add up. I also had it in a external docking station.

Load times, capacity for the price, warranty

- Reputable Brand - Reasonable Price - Not advertised for gaming, but ran several games without excessive load times, etc.

Everything!! I ordered an SSA drive in error. I wanted an SATA. I contacted E.O.L. Tech and explained. They immediately sent me what I really wanted and trusted I would return the one I bought (which I did). The replacement was done at no charge. People list this are very few and far between.

Works perfectly and very dependable

- Much better performance out of an old Dell XPS 15 Z - Like way, way better - Warranty seems to suit

2.5" 500gb HD. fast shipping. everything was perfect. works like it should. migrated my system to it and booted right up. no issues

I purchased this drive for the purpose of comparing this to a mechanical hard drive to a WD BLACK SERIES 1TB 7200 RPM 64MB Cache. I boots faster and applications run the same or a bit faster. Some graphic applications load a bit slower and has some hang-up, this is a good experiment for speed, currently in life cycle testing.

This is a nice 1TB enterprise Seagate drive in a 2.5" form factor. I'm running this drive in a workstation. It came with a 5 year warranty. (Please note, this most likely will not fit in a laptop, if that is what you are seeking to do. It is much taller than a typical laptop drive.) So far, I'm very happy with it.,

Very fast speeds as far as regular hard drives go, reading and writing was smooth going both ways. Easy installation as with all hard drives, just one power cable and a SATA cable to insert. Plenty of space for any average user. If your idea of fun is downloading thousands of movies and video games, then you'll need a bigger hard drive. However, if your the average user that uses a computer for typing for school, email, social networking and the like, then this is perfect. A great upgrade to any 320gb laptop hd. This one is faster than most and even comes with a little extra oomph to attempt to set itself apart from other hard drives. Thinner than usual, though not by all that much, and it's not like you see it once its in the computer.

faster than I expected for being 5400RPM... only 6 seconds slower at loading witcher 3 than my ssd.

It's fast, quiet, and runs fairly cool. It installed fast without any hassles. No firmware to update or load. The drive runs fine out of the box. Disclamer: This is a Newegg Eggxpert Review. That doesn't mean, I'm giving it five eggs because I'm testing it *for* Newegg. I couldn't fit all of this into 3000 characters, sorry. I installed this hard drive (Seagate ST500LM000) in an older T61 ThinkPad. [System specs]: Processor: Intel Core2 Duo(2.2GHz) Ram: 4Gb DDR2 800Mhz Graphics: 128MB NVidia Quadro NVS 140M Battery: 6 cell All of these test were ran under GNU/Linux. I apologize if you wanted to see a Windows Experience Index. [Distribution Info]: Distributor ID: Debian Description: Debian GNU/Linux 6.0.7 (squeeze) Release: 6.0.7 Codename: squeeze Output of `uname -a` Linux debian 2.6.32-5-amd64 #1 SMP x86_64 GNU/Linux [CPU Info]: Architecture: x86_64 CPU op-mode(s): 32-bit, 64-bit CPU(s): 2 Thread(s) per core: 1 Core(s) per socket: 2 CPU socket(s): 1 NUMA node(s): 1 Vendor ID: GenuineIntel CPU family: 6 Model: 15 Stepping: 11 CPU MHz: 800.000 Virtualization: VT-x L1d cache: 32K L1i cache: 32K L2 cache: 4096K I have tested this hard drive against two other hard drives. So, In total three drives were tested. 1) (Mechanical) Hitachi HTS72322 http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16822145234 2) (SSD) Intel 520 SSDSC2CW120A3K5 http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=20-167-093 3 (Mechanical Hybrid) Seagate ST500LM000 http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=22-178-339 ALL of the hard drives were formatted with ext4. The Intel SSD was mount with the mount options, 'noatime,discard,errors=remount-ro' Other than that, they were all mounted with Debian defaults for ext4 I would like to try all of these tests again with the drives mounted with btrfs, xfs, and ext3. I am using an a 2.6.x Kernel... I know I know I should compile a a 3.x kernel, but I've been lazy. Again, I apologize about that. Please see more details in the Other thought section.

- Fits into HDD caddy of first model PS4 ("Fat" model) without any modifications to case or chassis
