Gave slightly increased Internet upload speeds, with mixed results for download speeds according to the tests that I ran.
Good value for the money. There's no reason to have to spend a lot of money on Ethernet cables but you do have to pay attention to quality. All the StarTech cables are good quality for the money. My go-to cables.
It is supposed to be a good cable! I may never know?
-Feels very sturdy. I have no practical way of measuring the thickness of the cord but it does seem a lot thicker than any of the other old Ethernet cords lying around the house -I got the 3 ft cord, perfect length since my router and modem are right next to each other -BIGGEST PRO: When doing research on Ethernet cords, I found out that the cord that came with my modem was only CAT 5e. I was only getting 100 mb/s down even though my internet plan is for 150 mb. After connecting my router and modem together with this cord I get consistent 200 mb/s. This is the first time I've gotten more than what I paid for with comcast. Seems like high quality hardware makes a difference. -Rated as CAT 8 so hopefully future proofed for Gigabit internet (I only have 150 mb right now)
It is a heavy duty high quality cable. I am very pleased. The delivered was quick.
Easy to install
This is good cable. Great value for plenum rated, Cat6 cable. I pulled this thru an attic space to connect PoE security cameras. It has a nice, thick outer jacket and held up well to the cable pull. There have not been any kicks as it is pulled from the box. The RJ-45's crimped on easily. The seller delivered the cable described on-time. Thank you.
It works. Cheap for its quality. 6 feet. Gigabit. I've had a plethora of shoddy, ratty cables (like the one this replaced), and this one seems to be a lot tougher. Almost 2 months and it still looks like new.
