P45 chipset, DDR3 1600
Still has those stupid connectors that will never be used, floppy, ide, etc. Why? This is 2011!
Unfortunately unlike blaire below my board came with SATA2 and not SATA3 connectors like his. Oh well:-)
Cheap
Good support for dying LGA 775
Power management
Dual BIOS
Runs decently hot
Doesn't supply anywhere near the power that the 780i did to the CPU (but I guess that was my fault for thinking a budget board would)
Came from an old evga 780i 3-way SLI board because I stopped playing games and wanted a board that was more energy efficient. Seems that when you suspend from windows or linux, it will work for a few times, and eventually not wake up. Only way to reset it was to pull the plug from the back of the computer and then plug back in and power on. That was fine, until that stopped working and the only way to power it back on was to clear the CMOS via the jumper. Then, eventually, the motherboard would only POST when it felt like it. Power supply was fine with the standard paperclip test, so it leads me to believe that the main power connector on the board is faulty. In the process of RMAing for a refund. However, I do believe that this was just an unfortunate mishap, as Gigabyte is an excellent brand. I used this as an excuse to upgrade to sandy bridge, and guess which brand of mobo I bought.. Gigabyte.
