ASUS P5Q Premium LGA 775 Intel P45 ATX Intel Motherboard

Pros: All I can say is wow! This board has everything AND the kitchen sink. I mainly bought it for Socket 775 and the number of PCIx16 slots available for use with RAID controllers. The gigabit controllers work well and are automatically detected. There are 2 built in SATA controllers each with their own firmware. I noticed no conflicts between these controllers and my Adaptec 3805 controller.

Expansive BIOS with tons of options including lots of overclocking and voltage management features. The board even has it's own OS embedded (appears to be linux based) on it that allows you to surf the web use some basic online tools and read the contents of thumb drives for quick access to data.

Cons: My Raid controller would not work in a couple of the x16 PCI slots. System would not boot unless I used the lowest slot. Odd but may be fixed since the bios on the board was many rev's old.

Pros: Many awesome features, 4 LAN, 8 USB with room to spare based on the spec of your case. 10 total SATA. Expressgate, which is a really awesome 5sec boot to app feature that is terribly convenient.

Cons: Wake up last week and it's completely dead after 88 days. I now have a very expensive paperweight. I understand that computer parts can fail from time to time, but after only 3 months? I spent 45 minutes wading through their phone menu yesterday only to get bounced from department to department. Seriously frustrating.

Overall Review: I have always been a longtime fan of ASUS and really looked forward to taking advantage of the MANY features this board has to offer.
