This is the only p67 matx motherboard that can support 2 PCIe gfx cards at x8 each, but its not as if you're restricting yourself. The uefi bios was easy to handle. Compared to full atx boards with similar specs, its price is justified. Got dual 5770 xfire and my CPU oc'd to 4.5. Awesome board.
I initially plugged in my hd into the blue sata port near the 24-pin ps (it says 'anti-surge sata 6.0 gb/s') but my computer does not recognize it. Some one suggested that the sata III ports are all anti surge portected. Got an APC unit jic. The other thing that bugs me is the ps/2 ports: why does the vga port go b4 the ps/2 ports? ATM you have to have a gfx card to plug in a monitor. Most input devices use USB, firewire, etc. How about just including an adapter jic someone uses a ps/2 mouse/keyboard?
First and foremost, this is a micro-ATX board. Please note this fact when buying this board. If you're going to dock an egg for size or space issues, go up to a midget and tell them that their legs are short.
reading the mock up of the board it said it had all I was looking for in a fresh board.
Was building this for one of my closest friends. who lives pretty far from me. Put it all together and everything seemed to go well we decided to go have some lunch. Came back moved mouse to wake it up and got the dreaded blue screen. looked up things at Asus forums.. found this to be a common problem. Did as instructed and no help. flashed Cmos. Seemed to help. Friend took it home. same problem. month later friend drove back the 400+ miles.. had enough..Put different board in.. things run great...
No New Egg RMA ...over a month before he could bring it back. Now i see the board is out of stock... makes me wonder.. just would like to return it and get one that works.
