First time builder here and this board is awesome! Got this board when it out scored evga & asus which both still have problems hardware wise vs xfx. This puppy can take punishment just look at my final build. Things not to knock it for - Under clocks all non-ECC ram by default- Your own lack of knowledge in building a PC (and i'm a first time builder) DO YOUR HOMEWORK or buy a DELL
Mobo/Q6600 FSB hole. I still don't know who is to blame, but there is a hole where the Bios wont post between 1400 to 1600mhz. SPent three days trying to reseach what was going on. Took 3 seconds to push the FSB to 1700 after I said Forget trying to get that perfect 1600 to match my RAM. Got lucky and tried to tweak my ram speed to 1700 and BAM easy as pie. Link and sync'd and pumped the board up to 3.6 ghz. she's low 20c on idle and mid 30's on load. CPU sits idle at 25c and loads at 44c. GPU idles at 55c loads at 65c

When runs--just fine. Nothing special, just fine. Like XFX graphics so I thought I would do a gaming machine with Q9550 proc. Overclocks to 3.3 no heat problem and comes close to my i7 CPU for speed. One does not live on speed alone. Reliability is always a virtue and this board is as flacky as any of my last eight mobos.
Third time died in nine months. It's going to be RMA'ed for the third time. Trouble shooting with techs has become a joke. I know the steps as well as my many dedicated technicians. After an hour or so they say, "okay send it back". Well it's been back twice and will return anyother time this week. I can't ever tell you what goes wrong with the silly board though I believe it shorted and fried the second go round. I wish I could get my money back. Purchased at Newegg as nearly 100% of my computer stuff is. I'll keep buying XFX video cards but never a mobo again.
