Heavy Duty, metal construction where it counts. Comfortable for large or small heads. Great sound quality and a great mic. Retro chopper pilot looks.
non braided rubber cord is very "Grippy" likes to grab onto anything it rubs against.
My second pair of Razer headphones, the first pair was a set of barracuda's that lasted me almost 3yrs. When they died I purchased a set of Tt shock one's they we ok but squeezed my head to much, so I picked these up. I couldn't be happier! My wife poked fun at how big they were, until she tried them on. Now she doesn't want the Tt shockone head set anymore, she wants her own pair of blacksharks.
Nice box. Pretty graphics. Glitzy. Comfortable ear cushions.
Note: rests ON the ear, not "over the ear" (like shooting ear protectors).
Poor audio performance.
Distinctly and unpleasantly boomy, with a pronounced bump in 250 Hz region and diminished response in the 2kHz to 8 kHz region.
Was using a Koss Pro4AA as reference, and an HDTV source (dialog and music).
While the Koss was flawless, and needed no equalization for excellent reproduction, the BlackShark was not so easily tamed, even with a 9 band equalizer.
Not worth the original suggested retail price, and overpriced at the sale price.
This is not a high fidelity sound quality headphone unit.
