It did fit a Slim Optical Drive. That a Optical drive that's used in a laptop for example. Part of my rating is that Newegg knows what they are doing. The First vender on Newegg's list did not deliver. I will leave that for customers to figure out. The least expensive vender is not always the best way to go. Now for the device itself. It works great. It also gives me an extra by for a 3.5" HDD or other drive device like a card reader. Icy Dock makes awesome bay adapters. Everything installed fine. The SATA power adapter is best thing too. You need this adapter to use a Laptop Optical Drive in a desktop PC. Icy Dock did not miss a trick.

Purchased a SSD to replace a HHD and this worked perfectly in my Dell XPS. SSD is really quick and well worth the upgrade.

A nice addition to my collection of Orico products. Well made and I would say a cut above other cases I have seem. No complaints.

These are great for storing extra HDDs or bare backup drives (which is what I use them for) either off-site or in a safe - drive is protected, doesn't require a lot of shelf space, and there is a label / different colors so you can see what you have at a glance.

- Great for hot swapping. - Feels cool to unlock your drive back, pop the lever out, and pull the drive out.

I am pleased with the device. It feels sturdy. Allows a a 2.5 SSD to be inserted into a 3.5 inch drive bay. I bought one and then later purchased a 2nd because I was pleased with how the first one worked.

Mount and screws. Nothing more needed.

After looking at various options for the many loose 3.5" drives I have laying around, I tried these. They are very sturdy and are lined with foam that securely clamps the drive into the case. The plastic catch is very secure so the case doesn't easily pop open. As with every ORICO product I've purchased, the fit and finish are exceptional and packaging second to none.

They hold my hard drives perfectly. They are not Loose. They don't rattle around. I keep many hard drives in these.

Does what it is supposed to do and fits well.
