This works great with my MacBook Pro running OS X 10.6.3 to console into Cisco equipment. Installed the PL2303 USB to serial drivers on the disk provided or you can get the most up-to-date one at the SourceForge.net PL2303 site. Hook a Cisco console cable to the adaptor and plugged it into your Cisco switch/router. Once the driver is installed just open terminal and type "ls /dev/tty*" this will list the usb serial adaptor. Mine showed up as "/dev/tty.PL2303-0000101D". Then type "screen /dev/tty.PL2303-0000101D 9600" and voilà there's your Cisco console solution for Mac. Typing "CTL-A" then "CTL-\" will exit you back out to the terminal prompt. No additional software necessary. :)

Nothing much except it works
