hands down the best gaming monitor ive had. i actually replaced a 4 year old TN 1440 144hz monitor with this one, primarily because the color was always washed out on the TN no matter what I did. That's pretty normal for TN panels. However, this IPS panel has excellent color, although I had to tweak it a little to my tastes, the results are almost as good as my ProArt IPS i have sitting right next to it. close enough for games, anyway. and the image is rock solid using G-Sync w. my 1070gtx. between this and my recent Ryzen upgrade I'm pretty locked at 140hz in Overwatch on low settings and the image is just rock freaking solid. i can see everything now, its great. my wife actually has the older version of this monitor which for all normal purposes looks just as good to me. Actually in one way I preferred the original non-L1A version as it had better out of the box color and required no tweaking at all. I ended up tweaking the colors via Nvidia's control panel to make the L1A acceptable to me. (started too red and too vibrant). anyway out of box settings might actually vary unit to unit I think I've read. I think I can tell the L1A is slightly brighter, but the original was plenty bright for normal non-HDR gaming (I havent tested HDR on it but from what I've read the new one while slightly brighter, still isn't really bright enough to do HDR really well anyway. Apparently super bright for great HDR, and also super fast response times @ 1440p is just something that doesn't really exist yet unless you get one of those rare OLED monitors, which have their own problems).

Bad pixel already after less than a month and a half. Expected better from a big name like Asus, this is my first monitor from them. I've never had a single dead pixel with Dell, AOC, even an 8 year old Gateway monitor. Besides the bad pixel, the monitor was nice...
