Cheap, simple and effective
Thermal pads need to be cut to the proper length. Pointless to have anything longer that what the heatsink covers
Bought this to be put on my 960 EVO 500GB installed in a Phanteks Enthoo Evolv ITX case (No cooling on back of the motherboard) and max temps dropped from 52 to 43. It does it's job and at the same time looks good. I have a feeling this heatsink was made for much warmer running NVMe SSDs like the SAMSUNG PRO SSDs. Either way for what it does you can't beat the price.
Works with the Samsung 980 Pro m.2
Bad quality control on the thermal pads resulted in it not originally clipping together.
I bought this in use with the Samsung 980 Pro for my playstation 5. The thermal pass that came with this heatsink were two different sizes when they were supposed to be the same. The larger pad made it impossible to clip the parts together. I used half of the thinner pad and it worked just fine. Now I've got half the top and half the bottom of my card covered with thermal pads. I wish the quality control was a little better with the thermal pads especially when you're relying on clips. Do yourself a favor and get a heatsink that uses screws to hold together and not this, the clips are very annoying.
