- Very performant across all games, and VR
- Only requires 2 8-pin PCI cables from PSU
- Card really isn't that much larger than my old MSI 1070 Gaming-X (1-2 inches longer)
- No crashing at all (using latest Nvidia driver)
- None as of now (only been running the card for 2 days)
I upgraded from a GTX1070 Gaming-X, so the performance boost is massive. I only have a 1080p monitor right now, so I'm not getting the most out of the card, currently. I want to invest in a 1440p or 4k monitor soon.
At 1080p, I was mostly running games at medium settings with a few high or ultra settings.
Example: Hell Let Loose
- Medium preset, a few settings to low, a few to high. Averaged around 40-50fps on GTX1070
- With the 3080, all maxed/ultra settings, 150% resolution multiplier, averaging 80-100fps or so. Which is something I could not even dream of on my 1070. I'd get like 10fps on ultra.
VR is also amazing with the 3080. I've been running maxed settings, with 150-200% resolution scaling, and I'm getting smooth performance. I've tried: No Mans Sky, Elite Dangerous, and IL2: Battle of Stalingrad. All performed very high, no drops.
I have not overclocked the card more than what it came as, so I can't confirm stability with additional overclocking.
I know the cards are in insanely short supply right now, but if you can get one, these TUF cards are fantastic (I'm sure all 3080's area great, though). But this is the only one I can personally recommend. Keep trying to refresh those pages, best of luck to everyone. Hope you get lucky soon.

Unfortunately it wasnt...
I bought this in a packaged combo deal and already had issues with the monitor before I replaced that. Now when I finished my new rig, my card doesnt work!!! I waited so long and spent so much money on this card... I really hope Newegg and ASUS can give me another one. This is unacceptable. Already have replacement RMA issued...
I even tried using an older card, and a friends EVGA card. They both worked just fine. Weve isolated it to the ASUS RTX 3080 OC. Very sad. Very disappointed.. I dont want just a refund, I want a card :( and I was so happy when I won the shuffle for it...
