DeepCool AS500 CPU Air Cooler, Universal RAM Height Compatibility, 140mm PWM Fan, A-RGB Top Cover, 5 heat pipe design for Intel Core/AMD Ryzen CPUs

Pros: Good cooling, fairly quiet and looks good. Cheaper, smaller and better cooling than a noctua nh-d15 which I did try.

Cons: Was recommended for 5800x. It doesn't keep it in check. Was hitting 88c on stress tests and high 70c to low 80c on extended gaming. 24c ambient room temperature. I game on a 240hz 1080p Zowie monitor with no vsync or fps limit and always on ultra or high settings. I have a high airflow case with seven 120mm fans and mesh front panel with a RX6900xt Red Devil Ultimate and a 1000w Seasonic Gold psu. I use Artic MX4 on all thermal applications with a spreader and arctic thermal pads on motherboard and gpu VRMs and vram and ddr4 ram heatsinks. Only cooler that can barely hold a 5800x is my 360mm aio where it wont exceed 82c. I know 90c is the limit for the cpu but I dont want any part of my pc exceeding 80c. Entire system runs at stock with no overclocking. An overclock would hit 90c in no time. I kept the deepcool AS500 plus and swapped to a 5900x which is easier to cool than a 5800x. The 5900x never exceeded 72c no matter what I threw at it ie.. prime 95, Cinebench r23, high fps gaming and matches or beats 5800x at everything. I prefer air cooling for ease of install, no pump noise, no permeating or risk of a leak.

Overall Review: It's a great cooler for everything except the 5800x.

Cons: Does NOT come with the bracket to mount to 1700 socket even though it says it does.
